ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Coach: Mr. Franklin Matthewson
Captain: Gordon Brady
1925-26 Kodak High School Wrestling TeamNAMES UNKNOWN. (SOURCE:
Senior Annual, Kodak High School, June 1926.)

When Mr. Matthewson issued the first call for wrestling only three veterans
responded, Captain Brady, Jardine and Miller. This handicap was soon overcome by
the splendid response of new men, but their lack of experience somewhat retarded
the team in the first few meets. Our first victory gave us great satisfaction,
since that victory was at the expense of Charlotte.
We were somewhat overcome by the convincing defeat administered to East High in
the closing meet of the season. This meet was won without the services of
Captain Brady who was incapacitated by an injury in the previous bout. David
Jardine gained honors for Kodak by winning second place in the city individual
championship.
Those regulars who made the team and finished the season are: 105 lb. class
MacDiarmid; 112 Brady; 126 Jardine; 135 H. Davis; 145 Miller. (Senior Annual,
June 1926)
Wearers of the K: Grant Miller, Gordon Brady, David Jardine.
ARMDRAG NOTE: Kodak High School
(1919-1925) became John Marshall High School in 1926. What was their nickname &
school colors? If you know, please notify us.
None reported.
