ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

1928-29 Monroe Redjackets Wrestling Team
Names not reported. (SOURCE: Monrolog,
Monroe High School, 1929.)
After a year of idleness in wrestling circles, Monroe again entered a team in
the Interscholastic League. From a large squad of green and inexperienced men,
Coach Phillip Schneider picked a team to represent Monroe. From the beginning,
an injury jinx followed the team, and but one of the eight starting regulars
finished the season. The fact, together with inexperience caused the downfall of
the Monroe matmen before the onslaught of opposing schools. Twice Monroe showed
its superiority over the Charlotte High Team by scoring decisive victories. (Monrolog,
1929)
