We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

Charlotte walked
off with the biggest share of laurels in the Interscholastic League's
individual wrestling championship last night at John Marshall, taking
four crowns.
East nabbed three
titles, Franklin and Madison snared two apiece, and Marshall one.
In the feature
match Dick Crecco, 245-pound
Madisonite, won a close decision over Dave Sharp
of Marshall in the unlimited class. Crecco gained three points against
Sharp's 2.
Charlotte's
winners were Ray Roy, 127;
Arnold Halpin, 145; Ed White,
154, and Phil Ferguson, 165.
East's titlists were Jim Bellavia,
103; Tony Rinaldi, 120, and
Phil Fostano, 112. Crecco and Alex
Macaluso, 175, gained honors for Madison,
and Nick Pukish, 138, and
Pat Manicci, 133, won for Franklin.
Earl Wadman, 95, made the grade
for Marshall.
The winners
qualified for Section 5 competition today in the Winter Sports Carnival
at John Marshall High School.
