ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

The wrestlers had a fine
season this year, one of the best in Haverling's history. Due to the superb
coaching ability of Mr. Northrup, the team won twelve of its matches and lost
two. The boys worked long, hard hours which paid off with six county
champions――placing as many champions as the six other participating schools
combined. Those champions are Gary Hoad, Ron Dawson, Joe Baran, Bucky Squires,
David Lynn, and Woody Shirley.
The six grapplers went on to win the bi-county championships in their divisions.
Ron Dawson became the first wrestler from Haverling ever to win a sectional
title and David Lynn won a berth in the final match.
With the large youth squad containing plenty of interest and zeal, underclassmen
may look forward to an equally good season next year and many years to come.
