ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.
We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and
articles as well. Many college and public libraries have microform copies
of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years. In them, you can find
lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time,
make a trip to the library and check it out. Ask a librarian how to get
started and how to print out the articles that you find.

East Rochester
piled up a record 120 points, and easily walked off with the Monroe
County Wrestling League team championship on the winner's mats in a
two-day display of muscle which ended yesterday.
The Bombers placed
five champions, Pittsford and Webster two each, Spencerport, Brighton
and Eastridge one apiece.
Biggest upset of
the meet occurred in semifinal action when defending 183-pound champ
Pete LoCastro of East Rochester
lost, 16-3. Tommy Vergo, however,
recouped in some measure by grabbing the tourney trophy with the
quickest pin (53 seconds) to win the heavyweight crown. Vergo has only
one loss - in the Section 5 finals last year - in a four-year career
with the East Rochester team.
Two sophomores
made it - John Kreeling,
98-pounder from Webster - and Pittsford 106-pounder Tommy Cook.
Six 1961 champs again went all the way. Only LoCastro and Dave
Sirano of East Rochester failing to make
the grade this time around.
