Mid-Season Outlook

Bob Graham is 4-1 - 7-1 overall and winner of the Le Roy Tournament. Greg Schmeider is 3-2. Senior Bernie Schmeider is 3-2 and won second place at the Le Roy Tournament. He is also captain of the team and one of the biggest assets to the team. He could be a surprise winner at the county meet. This is a very young club but it looks promising for next year.Some of these boys are Bob Graham, Greg Schmieder, Lyman Stringham, Bob Zehler, and Bill Conklin. (Alexander yearbook, 1972)

Season Recap

[This] year's wrestling team finished with a 1-8-1 record. We had some fine individual wrestlers though. Bob Graham, then a sophomore, had a 13-4 record, won the Le Roy Christmas Tournament, and was also County Champion at 112 pounds. Keith Hargraves also won the at Le Roy and was County Champion at 119 lbs. Bernie Schmeider, our captain, was third at Le Roy and second at counties at 177 lbs. Greg Schmeider, a freshman, had a fine year with a record of 6-4. (Alexander yearbook, 1973)
