ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

JV's record disappointing

The coaching staff's dedication and long hours of work were not enough to offset the JV wrestlers' lack of experience which resulted in a disappointing 1976-77 season. In many matches Geneva freshman and sophomores were pitted against juniors. Also, the wrestlers had little backing from fans; at home matches, the opponents' supporters too frequently outnumbered Geneva fans.

Bright spots in the season were the performances of Dan Miller, Yulio Rivera at 91 pounds and Jim Beniamino (missing from picture) at 112. Rich Alonso and Jeff Johnson showed great promise before injuries took them out of the picture. (Seneca Saga, 1977)
