ArmDrag.com is looking for volunteers to help populate the Archives.  We're not only looking for results, but tournament brackets, photos, and articles as well.  Many college and public libraries have microform copies of complete newspapers dating back over 100 years.  In them, you can find lots of wrestling results. If you enjoy doing research, and you have some time, make a trip to the library and check it out.  Ask a librarian how to get started and how to print out the articles that you find.

By Justin Basch, exclusively for ArmDrag.com

WEBSTER SCHROEDER – The heat was on as Monroe County’s best competed for the elite Monroe County Championship.

Twelve-year defending champions Spencerport captured its 13th straight championship after gaining 277.5 points. Brockport took second, followed by Rush-Henrietta.

Kyle Borshoff(Pittsford), Gregor Gillespie (Webster Schreoder), Mike Wood (Eastridge), Chris Forte (Pittsford), and Alex Baxter of Spencerport all successfully defended their Monroe County Championship titles and became back to back Monroe County Champions.

Here’s a rundown of what went down weight by weight.

96 pounds: Hilton’s Mark Ranzenbach defeated Torsten Gillespie of Webster Schreoder in a battle of the lightweights. Each of Razenbach and Gillespie’s older brothers who went on to win the tournament watched and encouraged them.
