St. Francis wins CHSAA Dual Meet State Championship St. Francis lost the first match of the tournament to Monsignor Farrell, then won 8 consecutive matches, including over #1 ranked St. Anthony's to take the title. After a flat start, the team bounced back and wrestled amazing on the 2nd day. The final match of the tournament decided the title. Chaminade HS defeated Monsignor Farrell and was undefeated going into the final round. Farrell also lost to St. Anthony's and St. Joe's Collegiate Institute. St. Francis shot out to a 30-0 lead. Chaminade closed the gap to make it 42-37 St. Francis, but senior captain Connor Miller sealed the championship with a pin to make the final score 48-37. Undefeated for St. Francis were Dominik Thomas 170 and Nolan Thomas 195, each 9-0. Slade Merk 132 and Marcus Muffoletto 160 were 8-1. Shared by Coach Michael Messore.
