The Akron wrestling team defeated the Roy-Hart Rams 42-27 in Akron on January 23rd to win the 2012-2013 N-O League Dual Championship. In front of a standing-room only crowd, the young Tigers team started out hot on a Nick Paolucci first period pin. A clutch overtime victory by Jared Siska and three close decision wins by Johnny Fiebelkorn, Connor Riggs, and Peter Szlapak sealed the victory for the team in a back and forth match. Noah Karczewski and David Case lost close decision matches to ranked wrestlers to aid the team as well. The team finished first at 5-1 in league and 11-2 on the season going into the N-O League tournament on Saturday, January 27th at Barker.
