Falls wrestling pair set to make history; Carter, McCoy seek return trips to states
February 11, 2015

Niagara Falls has one of the strongest wrestling programs in Western New York, but it has been snake-bitten for more than a decade.

Ever since the merger of old Niagara Falls and LaSalle high schools in 2000, there hasn't been a Niagara Falls grappler winning a Section VI championship more than once in his career. Considering Falls usually contends for the Class AA Tournament title, which it won last weekend, and has had wrestlers earn All-America honors in college, it's kind of shocking.
