NEWARK — In a few days, recent Newark graduate Monica Mason will be joining many other 2015 high school grads as they begin the next chapter of their lives in college.

Mason will be in select company as a student-athlete. She is attending Oklahoma City University, where she will be a member of the Stars' NAIA Division I women's wrestling program.

Mason already sported an impressive résumé before signing her National Letter of Intent in the spring. She added another honor last month when she won a national title at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior-Cadet National Wrestling Championships in Fargo, N.D.
