Dear Wrestling Fans,

Brockport (V) is excited to announce that we are hosting two terrific wrestling meets over the last few weeks of the 2016 wrestling season.

On Thursday, January 21st, Brockport will host #2 ranked Warsaw Tigers in a DI vs. DII showdown of perennial section V wrestling powers. During that evening the Brockport Junior Blue Devils will host a youth team comprised of several talented young athletes from the Genesee region to celebrate the exceptional youth wrestling in our area on our annual Youth Wrestling Night.

The following week the Blue Devil Grapplers will hold its annual Alumni night on Wednesday, January 27th, when they host two time NYS Tournament Champion and league rival, Hilton Cadets. The match-up features two of western New York's premier teams which will be highlighted by several of section five's best wrestlers.

Between the two programs there are currently six returning Section Five champions, Cody Anders 106, Austin Hertel 120, Yanni Diakomihalis 138, Lou DePrez 170, Mike Spallina 170, Cameron Caldarelli 182, and runners up Jake Sweet 195 and Mike Mattison 285. Along with those returning section five finalists there are several other tremendous wrestlers who will contribute to arguably the most competitive dual in Monroe County this season.

Whether you bleed blue and white, were born a Tiger, support the Cadets or just love great wrestling take the time to drive to Brockport to witness section five wrestling at its best.
