Sweet Home wrestling almost upsets Iroquois
February 02, 2016

Sweet Home's wrestling team gave Iroquois all it could handle in its dual meet on Wednesday, Jan. 27, losing to the sixth-ranked school in Western New York, 39-36.

"We didn't have a full lineup but we definitely ran with them and had them on the ropes," Panthers coach Don Lilly said. "We had to forfeit the final match at 160 to give them the dual. Our team wrestled very well that night. We went after some matchups and put some of our tougher guys against their better wrestlers. It was a tough loss to swallow, although it's nice to see the improvements we had made during the season."
