JAMESTOWN — It was just nine years ago when the Olean High School wrestling team posted its 13th straight losing season.

From 1995 until 2008, the Huskies posted a dual match record of 25-112-2.

OHS coach Mike O'Connor was in the corner for the last four of those dismal campaigns.

On Saturday, the 12th-year OHS mentor may have enjoyed his finest moment to date.

In the Section 6 Division 2 New York State qualifier, his wrestlers held their own … and then some.
