ALBANY - As a sophomore, Dakota Gardner was a favorite to win the New York State Public High School Athletic Association wresting championships.
Some questionable officiating in the semifinals that year derailed those hopes.
As a junior, Gardner was once again hopeful to come home from Albany with a state championship.
