May 13, 2016

NEW YORK - Carl Fronhofer resigned as the Andrew F. Barth Head Coach of Wrestling, announced today by the Columbia athletics department.

"It was an absolute privilege to coach the sport I love at one of the best universities in the world," Fronhofer said. "The thing I'll remember the most is the great relationships I've built with the players, coaches and administration. Right now, this is the best move for my family and I."

Fronhofer spent the past eight years at Columbia, and has been the head coach of the Lions since the 2011-12 season. Every single season, Fronhofer has seen his wrestlers perform at the NCAA Championships, including an All-American finish from Steve Santos - the current John Huemer Second Assistant Coach.
