Amherst athletes Kellen Devlin and McKenna Rushford were named the male and female Prep Talk Athletes of the Year Wednesday during the Prep Talk Awards banquet at the Hyatt Regency.

Devlin, a wrestler, won state championships in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. He was four-time All-American and five-time Section VI champion. He was also named wrestling's Prep Talk Player of the Year in 2015 and this year received the Ilio DiPaolo Award, given to Western New York's top wrestler.
Devlin went 259-16 over his six-year varsity career, including a 49-1 mark this year at 132 pounds. Devlin will attend North Carolina State next year.
