Stutzman to Coach for Team USA at Intercontinental Cup in Russia

BUFFALO, NY - University at Buffalo wrestling head coach John Stutzman has been invited to coach for team USA at the United World Wrestling Intercontinental Cup in Khasavjurt, Russia.

Along with Oklahoma State assistant coach Eric Guerrero, Stutzman will coach seven of the nation's top wrestlers. The team is comprised of Nico Megaludis (57 kg) a three-time All-American at Penn State; Alan Waters (57 kg) a two-time All-American at Missouri; James Green (70 kg) a four-time All-American at Nebraska and 2015 World Championship bronze medalist; Alex Dieringer (74 kg) a three-time NCAA Champion at Oklahoma State; Kyven Gadson (97 kg) a three-time All-American at Iowa State; Bobby Telford (125 kg) a three-time All-American at Iowa and Nick Gwiazdowski (125 kg) a two-time National Champion at NC State.

"I'm really looking forward to this trip," Stutzman said. "It's a great opportunity to continue to learn and he around some of the best wrestlers and coaches in the world. I look to translate these experiences to our program here at UB."

The Intercontinental Cup runs from October 14-16.
