Clarence wrestlers crush Hamburg, claim league title
January 31, 2017

Clarence’s wrestling team officially resumed its role as the best team in ECIC I Friday by pounding Hamburg into submission, 63-15, to earn a regular season divisional championship for the first time in the careers of the current crop of Red Devils.

“Everybody was really happy when we clinched it,” said coach Jason Chase, whose squad endured a much higher than usual three losses last winter. “Being able to bounce back from the season we had last year and win a league title this year is actually a pretty remarkable thing. It was definitely one of our bigger goals going into the season, so to get it with these guys is pretty exciting.”
