Local gals shine in Fargo

Katlin Wells (Marcus Whitman) & Joye Levendusky (Avon) both starred for Team NY in the USAW National Junior WM team tournament, leading the way to a 5th place finish for our state girls' team.

Fighting through a shoulder injury, Wells went 6-1 with 6 pins at 112/117. Team captain Levendusky rebounded from a heartbreaking exit in the individual tournament to go 6-1 with 2 pins & 3 techs at 138/144, including dominating wins over two All-Americans. Levendusky's father Derek was one of the assistant coaches.
