November 15, 2017

Local MMA standout, and former Lake Shore High wrestler and current Sweet Home High School wrestling coach Patrick Mix is rising up the professional ranks and on the radar for bigger things. He is currently 5-0 as a professional and fighting on Saturday for the King Of The Cage World Title at bantamweight (135lbs) Mix has won 16 straight and is undefeated as both an ammy and professional and looks to welcome Ewell to his home territory for the biggest fight of his life.

Ewell having 12 pro fights already has a lot of experience and Mix said he "...wants to take him out."

Mix said, "I'm excited to be fighting for my first world title in Angola in front of family and friends."

He spends his off-seasons looking to perfect his craft and has done so lately training at the world famous Jackson/Winkeljohn Camp in Albequrque, New Mexico.

Mix has trained along side some of the worlds best - John Dodson , Ray Borg , Diego Brando, Sergio Pettis and many more UFC and MMA stars. He has gained the confidence now making a few stops out west that he belongs with the sports elite and has dreams of a UFC contract very soon.

"Patrick Mix has done what he always has, said Sweet Home Varsity Coach Don Lilly. "Hard Work, no short cuts, and leads by example- I am very honored to have him on our staff and he's a great role model for our kids here at Sweet Home."

Tickets are still available for Saturday nights MMA card , Which is appropriately being called "ULTIMATE MIX" at the Seneca Allegany Resort and Casino.
