Young but talented Olean seeks even more success

The Olean High wrestling program has a couple of impressive streaks going, and the Huskies don't want to see them end anytime soon.

"We've had nine winning seasons in a row, and are planning to make it 10," OHS coach Mike O'Connor said. "We've also taken the trip to Albany with a New York state representative the past seven seasons, and look forward to the challenge of getting another wrestler there this season."

Last season was one to remember for Olean. In their fourth year as a combined team with Allegany-Limestone, the Huskies tied the school record for wins by going 19-2. They also had now-graduated 220-pounder Jordan McLaughlin place third at states.
