GRIMES, Ia. — Bout No. 92 was called to Mat 2 on Tuesday afternoon, and the small crowd inside the gym at Dallas Center-Grimes High School turned to watch. They didn't want to miss the moment.

"They're always good," Paul Lockhart said. "You don't get tired of it."

On this day, Lockhart and his wife Michelle waited two-and-a-half hours to watch their son wrestle. Cael, an eighth-grader at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Middle School, trots onto the mat and straps on the green ankle band. In the third period, he employs a half nelson and secures a pin.
