NCCC sweeps District Duals

Host Niagara County Community College had a half dozen wrestlers go unbeaten as it swept the annual Northeast District I Duals this past weekend. NCCC, which is ranked No. 17 in the latest NJCAA rankings, is now 8-4 overall in dual-meet action this season.

Niagara CCC 40, SUNY Sullivan 3

Sophomore Troy Keller moved up to 184 pounds and picked up yet another technical-fall victory. Jacob Bell (141) also won by tech fall. Jaelen Jean (165), meanwhile, won by pin. Matt Genau (125) and Eugene Latson (285) won by decision.

Niagara CCC 50, SUNY Ulster 6

Bell (141), John Riena (149) and Sergio Crespo (184) all won via pin for the Thunderwolves. Keller (174) earned a technical fall and Jean (165) won by decision.

Niagara CCC 26, Nassau CC 16

C.J. Walz (133) and Riena (157) won by pinfall, while Keller (174) locked in his 34th career technical-fall win. Genau (125), Crespo (184) and David Carnie (285) won by decision.

Next up for the T-Wolves is Sunday's trip to the Penn State Fayette Duals.
