Brockport State Picks Up Two Wins At Wesleyan Duals

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The No. 12/16 ranked College at Brockport wrestling team went 2-1 at the Wesleyan University Duals on Sunday afternoon, improving to 9-2 on the season. The team earned wins over Norwich and AIC, and fell to host Wesleyan University.

No. 1 ranked Jonathan Haas had another undefeated day, improving to 31-1 on the season with his three wins. His win over Norwich's Cole Nickerson came by fall in just 0:15 seconds, marking Haas' fasted pin of the season.

Dillon Stowell (133) and Zack Barker (141) both went 2-1 on the day, earning wins by fall over Norwich, while Stowell received six points from a forfeit against AIC and Barker pinned another opponent, this time using just 0:18 seconds. Corey Farrell (157) also earned two victories, including a tough 10-6 decision against Norwich.

Jackson Bell (165) went 3-0 on the day, starting out this day with a tech fall win before defeating his next two opponents by major decision and forfeit. Triston Engle (197) continued his dominant streak of wrestling, pinning two of his opponents and winning his third bout in a hard fought 3-2 decision.

Thaddeus Jeffries (184) also earned two victories for the Golden Eagles, while Zack Brown (149), Tim Collins (174), and Austin Dean (285) all earned a win apiece.
