CANISTEO — Canisteo-Greenwood started its title defense strong Tuesday night, opening up the season with a 60-18 victory over visiting Wellsville in non-league wrestling action.

The Redskins scored a series of pins to power the win. Braidon Woodward scored his in just under a minute at 113 pounds. Buffalo-bound Bradley Cheek posted a pin of Derrick Sallazzo in 2:27 at 132 pounds. Jonathen Davis added a pin in 3:44 at 160 pounds over Chet Robbins.
