The Tonawanda wrestling team had a successful 2017-18 season, finishing 5-2 for a second place tie in ECIC Division III, qualifying five wrestlers for the Section VI Championships, and crowning one section champion.

With the majority of the lineup returning, coach Dan Bishop is cautiously optimistic about the team's chances for a division title.

"I think we can contend in ECIC III," Bishop said.

Bishop has not named captains as of press time, but he considers senior Zach Braddell and juniors Jason Frazier and Nick Szortyka as the team leaders and who could all contend for sectional titles.
