Young Kenmore wrestling team aiming to improve
December 04, 2018

The Kenmore wrestling team enters the 2018-19 season with a deep and young group. The team has 33 guys total this year, but just two seniors and three juniors. The rest are made up of one seventh-grader, a couple of eighth-graders, some freshmen and a whole bunch of sophomores.

"We're young, but as a team right now, last year's group was a bunch of freshmen," Kenmore coach Bill Hineman said. "Their work ethic is just unbelievable right now. That's the biggest thing about this group of boys right now. They're willing to work and put the time in that they need to get better."

One standout sophomore is Teddy Hegel, who wrestles in the 138-pound class. He's injured right now, but he's expected back soon. He'll be a valuable piece as an experienced varsity wrestler.
