Cheektowaga wrestling hoping big roster leads to greater things

NEWS

Cheektowaga's wrestling team boasts a roster much larger than those of the recent past, and coach Matt Haberl is optimistic that the Warriors' ability to fill more of the slots within dual matches will lead to a better rate of success this winter.

Nineteen grapplers make up this year's team, including just four seniors, and that bodes well for Haberl and the Warriors as they continue to look to return the program to prominence. The seniors on Cheektowaga's squad - Tyler Le, Austin Sliwinski, Austin Domanowski and Caleb Graves - do pack quite the punch in the experience department, and their prowess on the mat and in the practice room should serve as the perfect examples for the up-and-coming Warriors who will eventually be looking to step into their places.
