For most of even the best high school wrestlers in New York, the season ended nearly three weeks ago with the state championships.

But for Patrick Walsh, a senior 182-pounder on the Olean High wrestling team, one more showcase event remains today in Pittsburgh. Walsh was one of 14 wrestlers in the state selected to the New York All-Star Team for the "The Rose Bowl of Wrestling," which will pit New York's best against the best of the WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Inner Athletic League) from the Pittsburgh area. The Rose Bowl match rotates between other states invited to face the WPIAL.
