FULTON — It all came down to the final match, and Fulton fell just short.

State-ranked teams Fulton and Spencerport were tied at 28-28 heading into the 152-pound weight class, which pit the Red Raiders' Cuinn Burlingham against fellow state qualifier Mason Wersinger.

Wersinger was able to out-point Burlingham 6-2 in the third period to earn an 8-4 decision. The win earned three team points to lift Spencerport over Fulton 31-28 at a packed Fulton War Memorial Saturday night.
