It's been eight years in the making for Kyle Dake and it could be taken away in a matter of seconds.
His dream of not only competing but winning a gold medal in the 2020 Olympic games in Tokyo this summer, one that seemed so realistic heading into this year, is now fraught with uncertainty.
Dake, 29, first thought of competing in the Olympics in 2012, shortly after winning the third of his four NCAA Division I wrestling titles for Cornell University.
Perhaps sensibly, Dake - a two-time world champion -- did not sound confident Thursday that he'll be in Japan for the opening ceremonies July 24.
