Cornell Ranked #4 in FloWrestling Preseason Dual Rankings

ITHACA, N.Y. - Cornell wrestling will enter the 2020-21 season ranked as the No. 4-ranked program in the country via FloWrestling's dual meet rankings, which were released on Tuesday.

The Big Red boasts a tentative projected lineup (via FloWrestling) that includes two No. 1-ranked wrestlers (Yianni Diakomihalis and Max Dean), two additional top three ranked wrestlers (Ben Darmstadt, #2 at 197; Vito Arujau, #3 at 125) and three other top 25 wrestlers (Colton Yapoujian, #24 at 157; Chris Foca, #16 at 174; Lewis Fernandes, #16 at 285). Also in the projected lineup for Cornell is either Phillip Moomey or Dom LaJoie at 133 pounds, Josh Saunders at 141 pounds and Julian Ramirez at 165 pounds.

Starters from the 2019-20 season, Andrew Berreyesa, Jake Brindley, Brendan Furman, Jonathan Loew, Hunter Richard and Adam Santoro, will also compete for spots in the starting lineup this season, but were not mentioned in the release. Furman, Loew and Richard were all NCAA Championships qualifiers last season.

Ranked above Cornell are Iowa, Michigan and Penn State, with Lehigh as the lone Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association opponent in the rankings at #15.
