SUNY BROCKPORT WRESTLING POSTS 39-3 WIN OVER RIT
Golden Eagles defeat Tigers

BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Brockport wrestling team defeated RIT, 39-3, Wednesday at RIT. The Golden Eagles are now 6-1, the Tigers fell to 2-8.

In the 125 class, Brockport's Alan Boice (Vernon/Vernon Verona) pinned Murtuza Quiazar (Jamaica/Brooklyn Tech) at 2:35. Tony D'Ambra (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) defeated Julian Nicholas (Cortland/Cortland) by decision 11-2.

Dan Roberts (Bellport/Bellport) defeated Mike Pietrowski (Cobleskill/Cobleskill-Richmond) by major decision 14-4. Pat Hanscomb (Hilton/Hilton) pinned Chris Nassar (Winslow, ME/Winslow) at 1:21.

At 157 pounds, Shaheim Bradshaw (Huntington/Huntington) defeated Nat Buchmann (Fallston, MD/Fallston) by decision 9-5. In the 165 weight class, Donald Williams (Kendall/Kendall Jr.) defeated Tom Schwarting (Aston, PA/Sun Valley) by decision 13-3.

At 174 pounds, Anthony Rivera (Bayshore/Brentwood) was defeated by RIT's Gus Mancini (Franklin, MA/Franklin), 5-2. Dan Glover (Rochester/Gates Chili) pinned Chris Easton (Tioga/Tioga Central) at 2:30 to win the 185 match. Brockport's Will Weiss (Oxford/Oxford) defeated Zach Greenburg (Saddle River, NJ/Northern Highlands), 6-5. Patrick Bennett (Syracuse/Marcellos) defeated Trevor Hiffa (Holland Patent/Holland Patent), 12-5.

The Golden Eagles will now travel to Baldwin Wallace, Saturday, for a 9 a.m. match. The Tigers travel to Ithaca College on February 5th where their match begins at 1 pm.
