Bulls Back in Action on Saturday with Quad at SIU-Edwardsville

BUFFALO, NY - Following a pause due to COVID-19 issues, the University at Buffalo wrestling team will finally return to action on Saturday at a quad meet hosted by SIU-Edwardsville. The Bulls will wrestle the host Cougars as well as Northern Illinois and Clarion.

The Bulls haven't competed since January 2 when they took down Ohio, 20-12, in the season opener.

Tristan Daugherty (125), Derek Spann (141), Ty Raines (149), Michael Petite (157), Pete Acciardi (184), and Toby Cahill (285) were all victorious against the Bobcats. Spann is currently 17th in the national rankings at 141 lbs.

UB will open the quad against SIU-Edwardsville at noon (EST). The Cougars are 2-4 on the season. They are led by Justin Ruffin who is 5-1 and ranked 20th at 157.

Northern Illinois is 3-2 overall and 2-2 in MAC duals. The Huskies are led by 184-pounder Brit Wilson who is ranked 10th in the national rankings.

Clarion is 2-2 overall and 2-1 in MAC duals. The Golden Eagles are led by Greg Bulsak. The redshirt-senior is 6-0 on the season and ranked 10th in the nation.

Only the Bulls' dual against SIU-Edwardsville will be video streamed.
