March 23, 2022

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) officially published its annual list of All-Academic Team selections for the 2021-22 season. The conference honored 93 wrestlers in this season's release with 13 of them being Ithaca College Bombers. This was notably the fourth consecutive year that the All-Academic Team topped the 50-mark and the second straight year with over 90 honorees.

Recipients of this honor must have a 3.30 GPA or above (through the last eligible grading period of the current academic year) or have maintained a 3.30-or-better over the past two completed semesters. Another piece of the criteria is that wrestlers must have competed in at least three separate tournaments and/or dual meets during the season in order to make the cut. Additionally, freshmen and transfers that have been enrolled full-time for at least one semester are eligible to receive this honor.

For the third consecutive year, RIT ran the table and led all members institutions with 25 honorees. The ECWC also had six wrestlers reach the national podium and earn All-American honors with IC's Eze Chukwuezi (5th) and Jordan Wallace (8th) being two of them.

Ithaca bolstered the second-most recipients in the conference with 13 grapplers. Five Bombers reached the All-Academic Team for the third straight year - Matthew Beyer, Matt Griffin, Travis Jones, Adrian Rosario-Beato, and Tristen Schiafo.
