Hoose Champ, Seven Others Place at Black Knight Invite

WEST POINT, NY - The University at Buffalo wrestling team continued its road trip by competing at the Black Knight Invite on Sunday afternoon at West Point.

Giuseppe Hoose continued his strong start to the season, going 3-0 to win the 184-pound title. Hoose looked strong all afternoon, defeating Army's Cole Karpinski, Army's Sahm Abdulrazzaaq and Hofstra's Jacob Ferreira enroute to the title.

Seven other Bulls placed in the event, including Sam Mitchell (3rd), Marcus Petite (4th), Kaleb Burgess (5th), Noah Grover (6th), Patrick Adams (6th), Eli Sherren (6th) and Greg Hodulick (6th).

"Another good weekend," head coach John Stutzman said. "These guys are progressing and getting better every time out."
