FRIENDS OF SECTION 5 WRESTLING WRESTLING HALL OF FAME INDUCTION - 2015

The Section 5 Friends of Wrestling is proud to announce the Wrestling Hall of Fame 2015 inductees.

They will be honored at our eleventh annual banquet at Red Fedele's Brook House on February 11, 2015 and their names will be added to the Hall of Fame Plaque located in the lobby of the Brook House. Since the Section 5 Wrestling Hall of Fame was started in 1994, 125 people have been inducted.

The inductees for 2015 are:

• Tony Addante wrestled at Canandaigua Academy and was a 3 time Finger Lakes and Section 5 Champion in 3 different weight classes: 112 (1963), 120 (1964) and 133 (1965)


• Arkee Allen wrestled for Coach Art Connorton at West Irondequoit High School. He was a Section 5 Champion in 1993 and 1994 and placed 5th in the NY State Tournament in 1994. He later returned to coach at Irondequoit.


• Steve Dalberth has been involved in wrestling officiating since 1976. During that time he worked numerous Section 5 and NY State Championships. He has served as NY State Wrestling Rules Interpreter since 1993, conducts weekly rules meetings for officials during the wrestling season and is editor of the NY State Rules Interpretation Handbook.


• Charles "Moose" McGowan wrestled for Coach John Spencer at Madison High and was a City and Section 5 Champion in 1960 and 1962. He wrestled in the 145 lb. class.


• Chuck Partridge succeeded Al Krotz, for whom he had wrestled and was a Sectional Campion, as Hilton Wrestling Coach. During his 21 year tenure, many of his wrestlers won Monroe County and Sectional championships. Several also won NY State Tournament honors.


• Paul Richard wrestled for Coach Don DeBadts at Geneseo Central. He was a 4 time Sectional Champion (1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980) and placed 5th at the NY State Tournament in 1979.
