East High Matmen All Set for Tech
FIRST INTERSCHOLASTIC MEET WILL BE STAGED NEXT TUESDAY. The last practice before the elimination contest begins was held by the East High School wrestling squad yesterday afternoon at the school gymnasium. The elimination contests will probably be over before Friday when the Oriental representatives will be in readiness for the first meet of the interscholastic series. Next Tuesday afternoon at the Alexander Street school the Purple and White matmen will meet the Shop school grapplers, present city champions. A wealth of material is lying dormant at East High because of inadequate equipment and lack of a suitable place to practice. First and second basketball team practice and interclass and inter-home room series take up most of the time so that the wrestlers must arrange to use the gymnasium on the few occasions that it is free or adjourn to the girls gym after it has been vacated for the day.
