With Dunkirk-Silver Creek holding a slight 36-34 edge in its CCAA Division 1 meeting with Gowanda, the final result Wednesday night came down to the last matchup between 220-pounders Charlie Valone and Jamall Gaines.

It was the Panthers' Valone who came out on top, as he pinned Gaines in 2:41, to give Gowanda a 40-36 win.
