This past weekend, several wrestlers earned the most direct route to this year's New York State High School Wrestling Championships.

Midlakes' Hammond Raes, along with the South Seneca duo of Adam Wagner and Luke MacIntosh, collected their first titles at the Section V SuperSectional Championships at SUNY Brockport's Special Events Recreation Center.

With victories, the trio and a plethora of other local grapplers secured automatic bids into the 54th annual state tournament to be held next weekend at the Times Union Center in Albany.
