Prescott is passing on his expertise

In the fall of 2010, this was merely a makeshift wrestling room in the basement of a home on Goodrich Avenue.

Jeff Prescott, whose name is synonymous with wrestling in this area, had just returned home, intent on tapping the potential from the youth through high school levels and re-establishing this region's fading enthusiasm for the sport.

He founded his own training program in the basement of his east end home, where handfuls of kids came to get better. He grew it from there, moving the operation from a dank cellar, to the old Limestone Central gym, to a layover location in an Allegany High School classroom to its current spot on West State Street.

And now, nearly six years after embarking on this endeavor, it's become this: Prescott Wrestling School...
