AVON — It has been a extremely tough couple of months for Livonia’s Matt Martusciello, whose mother has been battling cancer.

The junior grappler dedicated his LCAA Tournament to his mom last Saturday, and with her in the stands watching came through like a champion as Martusciello rallied to win his first LCAA title as he defeated Keshequa’s Connor Mcevoy 4-2 for the 160-pound title at the LCAA Wrestling Championships in Avon.
