Clarence Wrestlers win team title at Class AA tourney
February 07, 2017

The efforts of four individual champions, coupled with seven other grapplers who finished high enough in their weight classes to qualify for the upcoming Section VI championships, fueled Clarence's run to the team title at Saturday's annual Class AA Championships at Lancaster.

Aiden Rabideau (99 pounds), Zach Braunscheidel (145), Joe Mannarino and Christian Rider all won their respective brackets to enter sectionals with large amounts of momentum on their sides. Mannarino's opponent in their final had defeated him four times this year, which coach Jason Chase said made his title even sweeter, while Rabideau claimed his title by defeating teammate Antoine Walker for the third time this season in a tournament setting.
