General Brown's Rogers heads to states after 3 years away from sport
February 23, 2017

General Brown wrestler Luke Rogers has been away from the sport for three years, but his performance this season makes it seem like he never left.

The senior is the second seed in the 220-pound division at the state Division II tournament on Friday. He'll start his tournament against Section 11's Justin Lorenzo of Petrides High School of Staten Island.

Rogers took time off from wrestling to concentrate on his lacrosse career, but returned to the mat in his final year at General Brown after some convincing from coaches and teammates.
