If New York State didn't know who the McDougalds were, they should know by now.

Justin McDougald was the top local Division I finisher, taking second in the 113-pound weight class, and Laith Alsous won a Division II state title at 285-pounds on an incredible day for the Niagara Frontier League at the NYSPHSAA wrestling tournament on Saturday at the Times Union Center in Albany. Seven wrestlers from the NFL placed in the state including a record-breaking three from Niagara-Wheatfield.

Along with Wheatfield's Justin McDougald's (113) second-place finish, Warren McDougald (132) took sixth, Matt Cicco (182) finished third, Niagara Falls' Willie McDougald (126) took sixth, Lockport's Mitch Seaver (113) and Steven Kapuscinski (152) each finished sixth and Alsous (285) took first in Division II.
