ALBANY — South Seneca senior Adam Wagner paced a small, semi-enclosed area moments before his New York State wrestling final at 145 pounds Saturday. Up and down his self-imposed cage he stalked, waiting to unleash his energy on opponent Tanner Cook of Central Valley Academy.
When all was said and done, Cook came out with a 10-8 victory and the state title, but his face showed part emotion, and a large part exhaustion. Cook won, but Wagner put him through a wringer.
