NY Honorees: Diakomihalis Wins Dave Schultz Award; Sisenstein Takes Tricia Saunders Award

Hilton's Yianni Diakomihalis was announced as New York's winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award on Monday.

Diakomihalis won four state titles during his career, despite missing the end of his senior campaign with an injury. He was the 99 pound champion as an eighth grader and followed with gold medals at 106, 120 and 138 in his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.

His list of accomplishments is very long, including two Cadet Freestyle World Championships for Team USA and multiple national titles, including at the FloNationals and the Super 32 Challenge, among many other accolades.

Diakomihalis will attend Cornell University in the fall.
