Buffalo Bulls Hold Blue/White Match Ahead of Thursday's Season Opener

BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo wrestling team held its annual Blue/White match on Saturday morning at Alumni Arena. The Bulls are less than a week away from the season opener against Cal State Bakersfield on Thursday.

"Overall, it was a good day," head coach John Stutzman said. "Making scratch weight and performing against your teammates is always tough. It's still early, so we will continue to evaluate everyone."

133 Bryan Lantry won by decision over Matthew Seitz, 5-1
141 Ryan Peters won by major decision over Blake Retell, 15-5
149 Jason Estevez won by decision over Nick Palumbo, 8-6 (OT)
157 Danny Boychuck won by fall over Kobe Garrehy
165 Derek Holcomb won by decision over Noah Grover, 5-3
174 Austin Weigel won by major decision over Jake Lanning, 8-0
184 Brett Perry won by decision over Kyle Davis, 10-4

The Bulls will open the season on November 2 against Cal State Bakersfield at Alumni Arena.
